Dr David Honeywill

Primary qualifications: MBBS (London 2000), MRCGP
Dr Honeywill joined our team in 2006 and is one of the Partners. Born and raised in Liverpool, he studied at University College London. He moved to Bristol to finish his GP training after spending a year working in a trauma centre near Sydney, Australia.
Dr Honeywill is one of our GP trainers at the surgery and lead doctor for medical education. He has an interest in musculoskeletal medicine and performs joint injections. He is also our clinical lead for the opiate substitution programme and supervises the research activity at the practice. He is the practice liaison doctor for a large nursing home nearby and keeps in regular contact with them for both clinical and organisational issues.
Outside of work he enjoys running all distances from the mile to ultramarathons.
